Commands are now becoming a way of life for the unit and with the continuing emptying of the mind, it relishes the attention and the opportunity to be of use. It feels a deep inner satisfaction because recognition of its status of service corresponds to its own understanding of what must be. Physical limitations and disciplines help develop the understanding of external control.

Through this stage, the subject is building worthiness of service. It is able to reframe the ingrained preconceptions of its upbringing and societal convention, and adjust its behaviours as required by superiors and starts pushing its limits. It is making its transition to the anonymised state and has adjusted its responses so that they are in step with its position and appropriate behaviours are now coming naturally.
